Naatyaanjali (Offering the Arts) events that care…
Sharing and increasing the awareness of the beautiful art form of Bharathanatyam is Naatyaanjali’s sole purpose. Naatyaanjali strongly believes that one who has the passion for this art form should not be deprived a chance of learning and performing it. We also believe that we can use our Bharathanatyam events as a mode to reach out and help less privileged ones.
Arangetram and Launch of Naatyaanjali with a Heart
We presented the Arangetram of Ms Hema Sivanathan and officially launched Naatyaanjali (Offering the Arts) on 14 Dec 2013 at Jubilee Hall, Raffles Hotel. We used that platform and raised $ 1,263.20 for the Handicaps Welfare Association.
Gift from Naatyaanjali
Since 2014, Naatyaanjali and her volunteers had been distributing gift hampers to less privileged families to add colour to their Deepavali (festival of lights).
The gift hampers contained items such as daily necessities and festive goodies. The sponsors for these hampers were our own students, their families & friends and other well wishers. Some of our own students had benefited from this project as well. This project will continue…
Complimentary classes for less privileged students
Naatyaanjali encourages students who are interested to learn Bharathanatyam to not give up and strive to greater heights. The School welcomes everyone; all you need is patience, perseverance, dedication and commitment.
Currently, some of our students face financial difficulties but the passion for Bharathanatyam is exemplary. Depending on the circumstances, we offer classes at a reduced fee or for free to such students.
In future
We plan to do more for our society. Several initiatives are in the pipeline. Stay tuned…
